Is it all a big scam? No, but the whole thing reminds me of a popular pastime here in Hawaii - surfing.

There are a lot of amazing surfers in my town. Many of them teach surfing to beginners and tourists alike. But just because you're a a good surfer doesn't necessarily qualify you to be a good teacher. What was second nature to you might be a downright mystery to someone trying to master that skill for the first time.

Teachers who don't know any better will march into the sea with their students, push them up onto their boards, and encourage them to take every wave that crashes in - with the hope that eventually, they'll catch the right wave and succeed.

The really good instructors take plenty of time on the beach long before heading into the water with their students. They lay a row of boards down on the sand, and show them how to paddle, then stand, and how to move while standing, too. Then they hit the water and teach them how to look for the good waves, how to see the pattern, and finally how to ride one all the way into shore.

That's the way it should be with you, your mentor, and your network marketing business. The top dogs in the industry might be great at what they do - but they might not be the best mentors.

My Lack of Success is NOT My Fault

A WOW moment for me was when I discovered Michael Dlouhy's Mentoring for Free system.
