Personality Color - The Yellows
Monday, June 22, 2009 at 06:51PM Ahhh, the Personality Color Yellow. They are 35% of the population and are the best listeners in the world! They are soft spoken, gentle, casual, comfortable, and oh so dependable.
Yellows tend to be teachers, nurses, counselors, and therapists. Now, as I said in my Blues article, I'm a teacher, so I just figured I was a dominent Yellow, but when my sponsor talked to me, she said, "No, you are SO blue." The qualities I'm telling you aren't exact. They are just samples of what most yellows do.
If you want someone to listen to you, go find your yellow friends! Yellows are patient and can listen better than anyone you've probably ever known. They love people who are team players.
Strengths of a Yellow:(Focus on these!) Dependable, Team Player, Patient, Supportive and Nurturing.
Weaknesses of a Yellow: Over-Sensitive, Follower, Not very Goal Oriented.
Dislikes: Pushy People, Bullies, Conflict
To coach a yellow, help them understand how to not take things so personally.
