Think and Grow Rich Chapter Ten: The Power of the Master Mind
Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 06:28PM After reading this chapter, I know right now that keeping the positive emotions in the top of our thoughts is a great idea if we want to reach our dreams. I bet all of us want to go down the side of the stream that carries us onward and upward to wealth, happiness, and joy. After reading Think and Grow Rich, I have found out that having negative thoughts roaming around anytime, anywhere is simply not worth it. No way. Attracting people and circumstances that make us feel good inside feels so much better. And attracting those shy and timid riches Hill talks about? Oh yes! We can! The secret lies in the Master Mind. The people we hang around with. Our thoughts. Our actions ...
My favorite line in this chapter is, "Men take on the nature and the habits and the power of thought of those with whom they associate in a spirit of sympathy and harmony." After all, if Andrew Carnegie attributes his entire fortune to the power he accumulated through his Master Mind, then we're all in the right place. Look what happened to Henry Ford! By "hanging around" Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, John Burroughs, and Luther Burbank - men with brain-power - he went from being illiterate, ignorant, and poor to one of the richest men in America.
Masterminding = More Brain Power and More Thought-Energy.
Hill says that the power in "wooing" money must be mixed with faith, desire, and persistence. Hmmmm, I see a pattern in these chapters. I can't wait to read the next one.
