Think and Grow Rich Chapter Two - Desire
Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 07:15PM What an inspirational chapter. This line lifted itself right off the page for me - "Through some strange and powerful principle of 'mental chemistry' which she has never divulged, Nature wraps up in the impulse of strong desire 'that something' which recognizes no such word as impossible and accepts no such reality as failure." Mental Chemistry. My new word.
Do you know what ups my desires and mental chemistry? When I live in my imagination and "see" things in my life transforming. I picture what I want. It's not 100% all day long, but when I do it, I love it. I see myself having the freedom to spend my day how I want to. Throwing myself into my day, my evening, my life doing whatever I want. Because I can. I picture myself being happy doing whatever makes me happy. Because I can. I see myself laughing out loud and having a blast relaxing, working my blog, giving coaching calls, going to the beach and whatever else I want to do whenever I want. Because I can. I picture myself retiring before my "four years are up." Because I can. I see myself building a fabulous, successful networking business and easily attracting and retaining coachable people through teamwork and education. Because I can.
This kind of thinking heats my desire and keeps me going. I'm living how I want to live from an inside feeling place during my powerful now place. It's perfect! I'm the one living my life, so I'm going to focus wherever I want to focus ... and that's on my desires.
What happens next when you feel good and know what you want? You watch how quickly this feel-good stuff transforms into those things that we have worked ourself into a "white heat of desire" for. We believe it, so here it comes ...
Wishing all of us the best in our desires,
Cindy Manoske
