Think and Grow Rich Chapter Six Imagination ... My Thoughts

I belong to a free support group called 30 Day Cleanse. We read Think and Grow Rich and post our thoughts about a chapter every week. This week was Chapter 6 - Imagination. Here are my thoughts:

I love this quote that I saw in one of my books. It's  from an 8 year old girl. Here it is: "You can get everything you want out of life if you just dream it." (Kileigh Mariani) Ah, Imagination at its best.

It's funny how you can read something a bunch of times and you really like it, but it goes no where. Then you read it ONE more time and it hits you with a big Ah-Ha. This is what this chapter did for me.

I have this drive in me to succeed in network marketing. I have a fabulous job right now and I've taken after work short-term jobs twice this year just to help move things along and help students pass the big state test.  I've been doing this for 35 going on 36 years, and I have plans for when this ends. In the foremost of my mind I see myself building a Fabulous, Successful networking business. I'm learning how to Easily attract and Retain coachable people through Teamwork and Education. It brings a big smile on my face just thinking about it.

I love the kettle/Coca-Cola story in chapter six. I love the story of the man who wanted a million dollars for his college. He knew he would get that money within a week. He knew it. And he got it. It reminded me of when I moved to Hawaii. I knew I would get a job here, even though I was told by "them" that it was not easy to do. But, I just knew I'd get it. I Just Knew It Would Happen. I did all the actions I knew to make this desire and decision come true, and it did. I was not surprised. It was a burning, strong, obsessive desire within me.

I know without a doubt that through my actions and plans and my Strong Desire that this business will become my whole life when I retire. I also know that the last few years of teaching will be the best years I've ever had. I know that I will be happy ending my current job and that I will go into my new one full-time and happy, too. In fact, I'm already in my new one and it's working perfectly as a part-time business. I've never loved my day job more than I do right now, but it hasn't always been this way. Self-development, this 30 day cleanse, actions, self-talk, and desire made it happen.

Desire, Purpose, Plans, Actions ... Obsession!  Have these at the top of your mind and watch your ideas come alive and have a power of their own. Remember to ignore and sweep aside the opposition that will try to take you down. You will win every time.

I know I have a self-determined power within me. I bet you do, too. I'm going to continue listening to my hunches and inspirations as they come into my heart and mind. I'm not waiting for the big-break to come and save me. I'm going to make it happen by my thoughts, desires, and actions.
